MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a leading national insurance organisation to recruit experienced Superannuation & Life Claims Case Managers to join a growing team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for claims professionals from a superannuation, life insurance or personal injury background who are looking to further their career in a purpose-driven environment.

The Opportunity

As a Superannuation Claims Case Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of death, Total and Permanent Disability (TPD), Income Protection (IP) and Terminal Illness claims on behalf of major superannuation fund clients.

Working closely with members, beneficiaries, insurers and internal stakeholders, you'll deliver compassionate, timely and compliant claims outcomes while providing exceptional service throughout the claims journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of superannuation insurance claims from commencement through to resolution.
  • Develop and implement tailored claims strategies to achieve positive member outcomes.
  • Assess claim information and ensure decisions are aligned with relevant legislation, fund rules and industry requirements.
  • Provide empathetic support and clear communication to members, beneficiaries and representatives throughout the claims process.
  • Deliver complex or adverse claim decisions with professionalism and care.
  • Liaise with insurers, medical providers and internal stakeholders to ensure claims progress efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and meet service level agreements and quality standards.

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Must be able to start on 24th August or 14th September 2026.
  • Previous experience managing claims within superannuation, life insurance, personal injury or a related insurance environment.
  • A sound understanding of claims management principles and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a compassionate, customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and confidence preparing correspondence and maintaining accurate claim records.
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for supporting people through complex situations.
