MAYDAY is proud to be partnering with a leading national insurance organisation to recruit a Team Leader - Home Assessing . This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Home Assessor, Building Supervisor, Estimator or Insurance Leader looking to take the next step within a high-performing property claims environment.

Managing a team of Home Assessors, you will play a key role in driving performance, developing capability and ensuring quality customer outcomes across a portfolio of residential property claims.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Home Assessors while ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately and in line with business expectations.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to a team of Home Assessors
  • Driving team performance across service, quality and customer outcomes
  • Monitoring workloads, productivity, claim lifecycle performance and SLAs
  • Providing technical guidance on complex building and property claims
  • Managing escalations and supporting the resolution of complex customer matters
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, repair partners and suppliers
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing capability development within the team

About You

You'll be an experienced people leader with a strong technical understanding of residential property claims, building repairs or insurance assessing.

You'll have:

  • Previous leadership experience within claims, assessing, construction or insurance
  • Experience within Home Assessing, Insurance Building, Estimating, Restoration or Property Claims
  • Strong understanding of residential building practices and repair methodologies
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing performance, quality and operational outcomes
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to balance service and commercial outcomes
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
