MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a large, complex national organisation to recruit an experienced Workplace Relations Partner to join a well-established Workplace Relations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse workforce – from frontline operations through to corporate teams – providing practical, hands-on workplace relations support and leading enterprise bargaining activity.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in stakeholder-facing environments and enjoys balancing employment compliance with commercial outcomes. You’ll play a key role in upcoming bargaining activity while partnering closely with business leaders to navigate complex workplace relations matters.
The Opportunity:
As a Workplace Relations Partner, you will provide expert advice and hands-on support across a range of industrial and workplace relations matters. A key focus of the role will be leading enterprise bargaining activity, including planning, negotiating at the table, lodgement and implementation of agreements.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure workplace relations strategies support business objectives while managing risk and maintaining strong relationships with unions and employee representatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end enterprise bargaining processes, including preparation, negotiation, lodgement and implementation of agreements.
- Provide expert advice to leaders on workplace relations, employment compliance and industrial matters.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical solutions to complex workforce challenges.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with unions, employee representatives and key internal stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities relating to employment conditions, workplace compliance and workforce practices.
- Support matters before the Fair Work Commission, including industrial disputes and bargaining-related matters where required.
- Act as a subject matter expert on enterprise agreements and relevant workplace legislation.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will bring hands-on workplace relations experience and strong bargaining capability.
You will likely have experience in HR, Employee Relations, Workplace Relations or Industrial Relations roles within large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating enterprise agreements and participating in bargaining at the table (essential).
- Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and Fair Work Commission processes.
- Ability to balance legal compliance with commercial and operational realities.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience advising leaders on complex workplace relations matters.
- A collaborative and practical approach with a willingness to be hands-on.
